At the Pull-Up Bar — Sweater Rising
At a public playground pull-up bar, Nano Ogasawara stands in a black-and-white striped sweater and denim jeans. The screen displays the text: “So sudden—backflip challenge!!” Just before that moment, in the same shot, her sweater rides up to expose her stomach. Nano is smiling, teeth showing.
A moment later, white-swimsuited Nano is overlaid with large text: “Actually, I-cup!”
B90, W53, H84. The gap between her chest and waist is 37 centimeters, so clear her silhouette appears when she simply stands with her arms at her sides. In the same footage, a text overlay appears in her own voice:

The phrasing is in past tense—once a complex. The meaning is that the chest visible on screen now became a weapon only recently. Just before this, there’s another line of text:

The comments started recently. Until then, Nano carried this chest in silence. That sequence is exactly how the debut film’s text unfolds.
Nano Ogasawara debuted on September 23, 2025, under the SOD Create exclusive label. She’s from Okayama Prefecture, a current economics student at a university in Tokyo. She works two part-time jobs—dental assistant and bartender—and lives in a 45-year-old apartment, a single 6-tatami room. SOD’s official media describes Nano at this point in time as a “broke college student.” So far, this is a familiar path: the new talent transitioning from gravure to AV.
But what comes next is not familiar. Nano watched AV before debuting. This twenty-year-old, filmed sitting with her legs together, had been on the other side of the screen in her room not long before. Shortly after her debut, in an interview, Nano explained how she knew SOD:
“I knew about the Magic Mirror van, so I knew what company it was. I’d been watching all kinds of AV before my debut.”

This is her answer when asked what kind of work she likes.
“When I looked back at my purchase history, I noticed I had a lot of titles where an older guy was basically taking charge (laughs).”

Purchase history. Not borrowed, not something that came up in her feed—the phrasing of someone who paid money to watch it. She remembers what she bought and talks about it laughing in an interview. She even explains why she likes it:
“Compared to guys my age, older men actually pull you in, you know? And I feel their warmth and generosity, which is appealing.”

A twenty-year-old college student says she prefers being pulled in. A scene pairing her with such a partner came the following summer.
Her debut film also spells out what Nano does not have. Text overlay appears over a close-up shot of her face in profile:

In a scene where she’s sitting on a white sofa in a pink bikini, knees raised, making a peace sign, the text reads:

Haphazardly—that’s how she describes starting something on her own. In a scene sitting on a bed in white lingerie, the text goes a step further:

After declaring it, she suddenly doubts her own Japanese. In a scene in a salmon-pink bikini with a white cardigan draped over it, hand raised, laughing, the text reads: “I’m 20 years old! A college student! (Economics major!)” As a self-introduction, it lacks information—but this lack itself is what’s being marketed.
When this Nano stepped in front of the camera for her first work, what happened? FANZA describes it this way:
“She is the raw gem entrusted with SOFT ON DEMAND’s future. A current college student living in a crumbling 6-tatami apartment in the middle of nowhere who had been nobody becomes a new gravure idol and debuts in AV—a new-era Cinderella story. Her erotic potential is tremendous, and her intense cowgirl position, where she thrusts her own hips, is a must-see! SOD’s most anticipated rising star in recent years.”

The place marked “must-see” was the same place she pointed out herself. When asked about the oil scene, she answered:
“It was something I’d never done before, so I got to enjoy it and feel good. Also, rather than just having things done to me, there was a scene where I was the one moving in cowgirl position and taking the lead. I think I did well in that part.”

“Enjoyed it and felt good” comes first; “did well” comes last. In her first shoot, at a moment where she could have just passively received, she instead noticed something to highlight. She was watching her scene partner closely too.
“I really thought the actor was amazing, you know. He led me naturally and made sure I looked good. So my nervousness gradually eased as the scene progressed.”

The Nano who said she preferred being pulled in is actually being pulled in on set for the first time. Elsewhere in the interview, she described her state at that moment this way:
“During the interview, I was kind of floating the whole time, like I was in a dream (laughs).”

The interview footage in her debut film was shot in that very state.
That floaty twenty-year-old thrusts her own hips. The part she remembered as “not just passively receiving”—it’s deepest in the film.

On X, she has just one line: “SODSTAR exclusive 9/23DEBUT T-Powers exclusive,” which she’s been using since June 2025. She has 730 posts, mostly short messages like “Good morning,” “Goodnight,” and “Photoshoot.” As of September 2026, posts like this appeared:

It seems that’s how she spent her first summer as a debut actress.
Looked at for her breasts, not her face
In footage documenting Nano before her debut, there is a scene of her lying in bed with both hands lifting her breasts from behind. Nano’s hand covers her mouth, and her eyes are narrow. It is less an act of concealment than a failed attempt to stop her mouth from moving.
For years, this body was something specific to her. Her answer in an interview is brief.
“I didn’t have confidence, or rather, I had a complex about my breasts.”

She also speaks concretely about what was happening.
“Yes. In P.E., I’d always bounce and draw attention. And when I’d talk to guys, they wouldn’t make eye contact. Everyone was looking at my breasts, not my face (laughs).”

During P.E. class and while talking to men — both scenes in school life where she stood in front of people. “No eye contact” is the precise phrasing; they were looking at her. When years pass where you are looked at but not made eye contact with, something shifts. Nano articulated what happens.
“Through those experiences, I started to think, ‘Maybe I’m not normal.’ That led to my lack of self-confidence. But then I learned that lots of people saw my body on social media and in gravure photos and were happy about it.”

Social media and gravure had bridged the distance from “maybe I’m not normal” to “many people are happy.” The same body, received differently.
What came next was why Nano became an AV actress.
“Yes. Once I was able to have confidence in myself that way, I got the offer to debut in AV. I’d already been watching AV myself, and I was curious about what kind of world it was. I thought of it as a chance, so I decided to take the plunge.”

The moment she found confidence and the moment the offer came aligned. On top of that came the fact that she was already a viewer. Part of her reason to take that step was that she had been in the audience.
She also describes how she came to be an audience member. The start was a friend’s story.
“Well, I guess the direct trigger was hearing friends talk about it. Once you get to middle and high school, everyone starts getting boyfriends, right? Then you hear stories from friends like, ‘I kissed my boyfriend.’ Hearing those stories made me interested.”

“If it were me, what would it be like?” — that is the first thought anyone has when watching.
One week after debut, a work was released on September 30th. It documents Nano before entering AV, with her profile displayed. The items listed are as follows.
20 years old, family of 4, second-year university student. Bad at sports, likes sex, doesn’t have much in hobbies or special skills. Works multiple part-time jobs. Wants to be someone. And at the end, it says “Actually an I-cup.”
Bad at sports, not much in hobbies or special skills. Both match what the backward somersault footage and the debut work’s on-screen text said. And second from the end is “wants to be someone.”
In the same year she wrote that she wanted to be someone, Nano was being marketed as “an ordinary female college student who was nobody.” Both point to the same place. In the same footage, her first-person on-screen text backs it up.
“Nobody. That’s what I thought all along.”

The setting of this one work is a night in Shinjuku, days after the debut shoot. The screen reads: “Days after the AV debut shoot. This day she meets a male amateur actor in Shinjuku at night. Glimpsing Nano Ogasawara’s private sex. ”

After the debut work was released, Nano spoke to her fans this way.
“I’m Nano Ogasawara, who just debuted as SODSTAR. My debut work has gone on sale, and I’m really embarrassed, but I’d be happy if you’d watch it. Thank you for your continued support!”

She says she is embarrassed, yet asks them to watch. A month and a half later, she would be walking naked down a hotel corridor.
A Staircase Climbed in Half a Year, 2025
In spring 2025, Nano was being called a female college student influencer. A dance video she filmed at her part-time job went viral on social media, and her followers were growing.

The details of her part-time work were also recorded.

About these two part-time jobs, she said in an interview that she enjoyed both.
“Fortunately, I was able to enjoy both jobs (laughs). In both, I had a lot of opportunities to talk with customers. I like chatting, so it was really fun”

What the dental assistant work and the izakaya job had in common was speaking to strangers at close range. Nano was juggling both simultaneously.
On May 20th, she made her debut in Weekly FLASH. She appeared in four pages in swimwear and lingerie, revealing her I-cup for the first time in print. Her comment was “I was surprised to get a gravure offer.” The publication called this appearance “the birth of a gravure idol to watch.”
The response came back in a month. She appeared again in the June 24th issue, with five pages this time.

Only a month separated the first and second issues. In that month, her facial expressions and poses had changed, as noted in the piece.
On July 8th, FLASH Digital Photobook: Nano Ogasawara - First Heartbeat was released by Koubunsha.
“Currently living in a six-mat apartment and working hard at both her izakaya and dental assistant jobs to earn tuition. In this digital photobook, Ogasawara takes on her first gravure photoshoot. In her swimwear and lingerie shots, she is modestly displaying herself.”

Currently. The person appearing in print that month was also going to the same part-time jobs. It even stated the reason: to earn tuition.
On August 26th, a debut unveiling event was held at Soft On Demand’s headquarters. In the AV industry, few debuts are preceded by press conferences. The media noticed this as remarkable.
“For the first time in a while, many press members gathered in a venue filled with excitement and anticipation, making it a special day celebrating SOD’s rising star, Nano Ogasawara’s debut.”

The moderators were two members of Kioni Tomahawk and Akari Matsunaga from SOD’s PR department. When Nano was called on stage, she introduced herself this way:
“I’m Nano Ogasawara, debuting with SODSTAR on September 23rd. I’ll do my best, so thank you for your support!”

The company’s remarks were lengthy. President Daitori Nomoto stated “She is exceptional talent who will become a flagship star.”
The director of the debut work, Yūkan, highlighted a different point.
“The debut work is simple, but what’s worth watching is Nano-chan’s smile and the gaze of a nympho that occasionally peeks through, teasing her masochistic side”

Her smile. That was what the director led with. The director again emphasized “what a wonderful smile” at the end of the press conference. In the debut work, Nano sits in the back seat of a car with her seatbelt fastened, facing forward and smiling. It’s the face of someone during movement, when nothing is happening.
At the conclusion of the press conference, Nano said this:
“The reality of debut is finally sinking in. I’ll do my best toward my September 23rd debut! I want to challenge myself with all kinds of different works going forward”

One year after saying she wanted to challenge herself with all kinds of different works, her main series had grown to 14 titles.
She talked a bit more about the event in an interview.
“I’m really looking forward to it! Because so many people are coming to the event to see me, right? That kind of opportunity doesn’t come often, and I’m really excited to see what kind of people I’ll meet. I like getting comments on SNS too, so I’m looking forward to what kind of conversations we can have in person”

This pledge was fulfilled. Over the year since her debut, Nano has appeared at retail locations almost every month. Akihabara’s Ramtala was the center, but in November 2025 she was at Shosendo Grande in Jimbocho for a calendar release, and in January 2026 at MAX Bookstore in Nagoya. In March she returned to Okayama. The announcement was labeled “Okayama Triumphant Return Part 3,” meaning there had been two before it. In July she appeared at a cosplay event, and on August 1st she held a meet-and-greet in Hong Kong. Her Instagram highlights feature Hong Kong and Taiwan side by side.
Her releases didn’t stop either. From debut through September 2026, she has 14 main titles. Adding 4 special editions, 1 VR title, and 1 image video brings the total to 20 entries. In these 12 months, not a single month was skipped.
The 14 main titles were shot by 10 different directors. Yūkan handled the debut through the third title, and from the fourth onward almost every title brought a different director. Of those from the fourth onward, only Daizai Chinpo has returned multiple times, shooting three titles in February, July, and September of 2026. There was no structure of a single director developing the newcomer.
Her release pricing fell into two tiers. As of September 2026, the most recent 3 titles started at 2,480 yen. Earlier releases had dropped to 500 yen, with only one title from before her debut at 300 yen. In February 2026 an 8K VR title was also released, which garnered 45 reviews.
November 2025, A Single Towel to the Men’s Bath
Nano stands completely naked in the ryokan hallway. Several men in yukata surround her, and text on screen reads “Exposed shame even within the ryokan.” The shoot took place just two months after her debut.
Half the reason she came to this shoot is something Nano mentioned herself. In an interview from around the same time, she listed three things she wanted to try:
“I definitely want to try the kind of scene I often watch in AV—where an older guy takes control. And the magic mirror car is something I’d like to challenge myself with. I also like scenes that play with embarrassment. (Laughs)”

Older men. Magic mirror car. Embarrassment. It reads like someone who had been buying and watching these genres picked three from her own shelf and placed an order.
Before the interview appeared in print, one of the three had already been filmed—the embarrassment sequence.
Released November 11, 2025. The production sends her to a long-established hot spring ryokan in Tochigi Prefecture—part of a series SOD Create has run for years. Text on screen identifies it: “A historic hot spring ryokan in Tochigi, famous for its beautifying mineral waters.” The footage shows the outdoor bath’s spout and a wooden bucket.
Before heading to the ryokan, Nano appears in casual clothes—white shirt, beige cardigan, black pants—as on-screen text reads “In a standard AV production, we’d call in Nano Ogasawara…” In another shot, she stands before a wooden sliding door wearing only a white towel, with text displaying “Challenge: towel only, men’s bath!”
This was no ordinary set for a two-month-old newcomer.
In the outdoor bath, a naked Nano laughs. A yellow caption on screen reads “Male guests lick water droplets from her entire body.” Another shot shows her surrounded by multiple men, arms raised. During a scene standing before the bath, she receives different instructions displayed on screen: “Masturbate the way you usually do until you climax.”
A shot of the Japanese-style room’s entrance shows shoji screens and a yukata rack. There’s also a frame with a wicker basket. The instruction she receives, displayed on screen: take your clothes to the green room and return naked. Footage shows her climbing stairs from behind—unclothed.
She sits down on the stairs. Before her, men in yukata stand in a line.
161 minutes. The production also includes a scene where Nano, wearing a pink floral yukata in the Japanese room, hands a towel to a man and laughs. There’s also a shot of her holding a microphone in front of a basket, eyes narrowed.
In the bath area, she’s made to wear a red-stringed swimsuit and receives instructions: “Find the actor mixed in among the male guests and collect semen.” Back in the Japanese room, another directive: “Stage a late-night visit to the guest room.” Within one film, instructions accumulate—five, six, or more in succession.
December 2025: Displaying I-Cup Only for Three Hours
One title released on December 9 was a production that used her signature asset frontally.

Three hours of her grasping and displaying those very breasts—the ones that once bounced awkwardly through gym class, that drew every gaze whenever she spoke to a man.
January and February 2026: Kissing Until the Saliva Strings Pull
Outside at night, under a streetlight, Nano smiles with her teeth showing. Her eyes are narrowed. The screen reads “PM 19:30 ◆ Don’t want to go home smile”. This scene occurs near the end of a date-filming project spanning an entire day.
Kissing is not among her three wishes.
Yet the most repeated genre tag across Nano’s work is kissing—it appears on 6 out of 20 titles. Excluding solo performances and big breasts, it’s the most common.
It began with a single title released January 13, 2026: a project capturing an entire holiday date.
“A kiss-focused date project featuring kiss-lover Nano Ogasawara! Constant flirting in boyfriend-girlfriend mode! Passionate kissing dates in the car, outside, whenever there’s an opening. The screen displays the time. 9:15 AM, face-to-face with the male actor. Nano sits on the sofa with her knees together, smiling. She wears a white polo shirt and denim, with sandals on her feet. She looks like a female college student who walked into a room without changing on her day off.
Sitting side by side on the sofa, Nano’s words appear as text: “Guess I might like kissing… haha”.
In another cut where they kiss while standing, the man’s hand lifts her polo shirt and reaches her chest.
3:00 PM, they go shopping for adult toys. In front of the shelves of a shop that looks like a pharmacy, Nano places her hand to her mouth and laughs.
During the car ride, in the back seat with a sunroof, Nano turns sideways and smiles.
Inside an elevator, they kiss with the floor indicator in the background.
7:30 PM, the scene under the streetlight gets a timestamp.
8:00 PM, they arrive at the room and she spreads both arms. “We’re at the shell-shaped love hotel”. Behind her is a bed shaped like a shell.
In the hotel bathroom, Nano stands before a mirror wearing white bunny ears. Black body stockings cover her body. She smiles while touching her hair, with the man standing behind her.

An actress who genuinely loves kissing. Nano has become known by that name. What wasn’t among her original three wishes became her signature in four months.
This title is shot differently from the others. There are close-ups of lips. Nano puts her own finger in her mouth. The screen reads “You’ll surely drown in this Kiss too”.
In a scene where she brings her mouth close to a pink rose, only Nano’s lips are shown in close-up. When the background shifts to red, Nano wearing a black lace bra holds a white lily with her eyes downcast. In another cut, Nano extends her tongue toward the lily, and white liquid drips onto its petals.
There’s also a scene where she sits on a black sofa in a light-blue string bikini, sandwiched between two men.
In front of a gray wall, she’s lifted up while still in the same bikini and kissed.
Then a close-up of her face. Her mouth open, looking upward. Her hair is wet.

January 2026: The photobook arrives
Between her first and second kiss shoots, on January 28, 2026, Nano’s first photobook arrived from Tokuma Shoten. The title: Nano Ogasawara First Photobook I Want You. Photographed by Isao Ueno, it is a fully nude photobook priced at ¥4,620 (tax included).
The cover features just one line of text.
“From a cramped 6-tatami apartment to the strongest contender for 2026’s sexiest queen!”

The body text reads:

Working hard toward her dreams — that’s what Nano told the publisher, the same thing she had said at the press conference.
There is also an account of the shoot itself.

Staff said no retouching of the skin was necessary. The chest that had bounced troublingly during PE class at school was being sold as a selling point in its own right.

The moment she was called a “first step,” Nano was only four months into her debut.
In her Instagram profile, she herself writes “1st photobook ‘i want you.’” The digital photobook from Kōbunsha released in July 2025 featured swimwear and lingerie, so this was the first time she had fully disrobed.
May 2026: Standing on the Other Side of the Magic Mirror
Someone who had come to know the company name through the magic mirror truck now steps to the other side of that apparatus. It was the eighth month in—May 12, 2026.
A couple in love visit a beauty salon divided by a single partition—a forbidden space on the other side of a magic mirror.
