An Accumulation of 6,800 Catalog Titles

Counting every S1 title currently distributed on FANZA yields roughly 6,800 works. The oldest is dated November 11, 2004. Every one of those titles carried the “Rookie” prefix: Mami Hayasaki, Natsuya Yonekura, Chihiro Hara, Kana Kawai, Misato Shiraishi. Releasing several rookie debut titles on the same day is how this maker began.

Twenty years have passed. The June 2026 release schedule lines up debut titles from Rion Sono and Towa Shiraishi. Sono’s slot carries the title “Shinjin NO.1 STYLE: Swimming-Obsessed, Pure-Hearted Older Sister.” Under the same “Rookie” banner as day one, another performer is sent out. Only the sheer volume accumulated in between has grown by orders of magnitude.

The official website describes itself on its homepage as “the AV maker exclusively for S-class actresses,” while the official X profile (354,000 followers, 81,000 cumulative posts) and the site footer carry another line: “Japan’s premier solo-actress AV maker.” The two slogans state plainly what 20 years of catalog has been. Exclusive solo works, distributed exclusively, output continuously without dropping volume or image quality. Where a maker that did this for 20 years now stands is traced here not with adjectives but with numbers and official product descriptions.

The Numbers Behind S1’s Scale

First, just the figures, with no evaluative language.

  • Total catalog roughly 6,800 titles. The oldest distributed in November 2004; the latest line scheduled for June 2026. Twenty-one years with no gap-month visible in the record
  • Of the top 30 by review count, all 30 are S1 NO.1 STYLE. Not dispersed across multiple labels; accumulated under a single brand
  • Among those top 30, the “solo work” tag appears on 28 and “exclusive distribution” on all 30. The format of exclusive solo releases holds even among the highest-rated titles
  • Of the same 30, the “4K” tag is on 21. Excluding compilations and back-catalog, recent releases are almost entirely 4K
  • The official site’s actress index lists 401 names including past performers — 98 in the “A” row, 57 in “H,” 50 in “M”
  • Actresses named in the May–June 2026 release and pre-order lines: roughly 37 across just two months

That last figure shows the maker’s current state most concisely. Even among solo-actress makers, holding 5 to 10 active exclusives at any time is not unusual. S1 lists three to seven times that in a single two-month release cycle. Not dependent on one ace, but running multiple aces in parallel across their own lanes. This is the real source of staying power across 20 years.

Divide the total catalog by years: 6,800 titles over 21 years since 2004, a simple average of more than 320 per year, around 27 a month. Given the lower volume in the early years, current monthly output is higher than that. The official site shows pre-order titles for May 26, June 5, and June 9, 2026 all at once, each date carrying anywhere from a dozen to over 30 titles. Maintaining this scale per release date, fielding everyone from rookies to transfers. The anomaly in the numbers concentrates here.

What Kind of Maker Has It Been

After scale, the content tendency. Counting the genre tags on top-reviewed works reveals the style.

In the top 30, “big breasts” appears on 11, “slender” on 9, “beautiful girl” on 9 — the mainstream center line. Layered onto that: “lewd/hardcore” 8, “orgasm/climax” 7, “blowjob” 7, “titjob” 6, “slut” 6, “NTR/cuckold” 5. The center sits on the broadest mainstream, while highly rated works extend into hardcore and NTR. Rather than tilting toward niche fetish content, it takes the mainstream broadly and then stretches its rating reach into adjacent genres. Not a single point of attack but coverage across an area. If S1’s style had to be one word, it would be this “area.”

The production side shows up in the official site’s recruitment page. It continuously hires staff through new-graduate and mid-career tracks, plus cinematographers, writers, makeup artists, stylists, web directors, and video editors by role. Not assembling production from outsourced pieces but holding the disciplines in-house. The very fact that an adult maker runs new-graduate recruitment hints at organizational scale and continuity. The reason a dozen-plus titles can ship across multiple release dates each month without the standard slipping lies in this in-house line.

Pricing also follows a pattern. New titles sit in the premium band: 4K at 3,380 yen, HD at 2,680, download at 2,180. Slightly older titles drop to 4K 2,380, HD 1,680, streaming 500. Compilations and back-catalog fall to HD 1,180 or streaming in the 300-yen range. Close to a tenfold felt gap between premium new releases and the entry band of compilations. Buy only the latest titles à la carte and S1 is “an expensive maker”; dig into compilations and old works and it becomes “a maker you can play deep and cheap.” Whether the cost verdict flips comes down to knowing this gap structure.

Exclusives as Firepower

What actually supports that range of style is the headcount of exclusive actresses. Line up the leads of the top-reviewed works and the depth shows directly.

Ranking high by review count: Aika Yumeno, Moe Sakakibara, Niko Kawagoe, Yuuka Murakami, Mei Washio, Noa Araki, Kokoro Asano, Saki Okuda. It is not a structure where one performer takes everything. Multiple aces each gather reviews around 5 stars on their own lanes. Aika Yumeno does both relationship drama and concept comedy; Moe Sakakibara spans the two poles of uniform pieces and hardcore group sex; Yuuka Murakami covers aphrodisiac hardcore and fan-appreciation projects; Saki Okuda works the married-woman and mature line. Each flagship’s drawer is different.

Current ace Miru is strong in the mainstream older-woman line. The description for her tutor work distributed in May 2025 is written as a plot of teaching an inexperienced young man one step at a time.

That inexperienced me, taught step by step by a beautiful tutor — “First, a kiss…” “If you finish before sex you fail, so we have to train now while we can…” (omitted) burned into my mind, my heart gradually taken too…

(Miru lead, tutor work, official description, distributed May 2025)

The same “older woman’s deflowering” template repeats in Alice Hana’s April 2025 release, whose description reads “a beautiful, older woman teaches you” and “come here… teacher will make you a grown man.” Veteran depth, by contrast, runs in another direction. Saki Okuda’s April 2025 release depicts a wife’s relationship with the father-in-law who moves in after her husband’s transfer, the description closing with “unsatisfied by her husband’s bland intimacy… Saki drowns in dense sex with her father-in-law.” The older woman’s deflowering and the wife’s transgression sit side by side on the same month’s release line.

That coexistence is visible at a glance on a specific release date. The June 2026 release schedule lines up Miyuu Kohinata, Fua Kaede, Niko Kawagoe, Rino Sakurano, Miru, Yuri Adachi, Saki Okuda, Mitsuha Asuha, and Rui Shido, with rookie Rion Sono also on that day. Someone freshly debuted and a veteran who has run for years coexist on the same release-date shelf. The depth of exclusive firepower shows best in a single day’s release line. Some are continuing slots like Mei Washio, who can carry a 12-hour compilation alone; some, like Kana Momonogi, have their own article on this site after passing through S1 work. Exclusives come and go, but each departure is filled by that month’s rookie.

Running Rookies and Transfers Through the Same Format

The headcount does not shrink because both rookie recruitment and transfers from the entertainment world can be dropped into the same format.

Transfer history runs deep. Kurenai Ito’s S1 debut work, distributed November 2014, was a transfer, not a rookie debut. The description states it explicitly.

Kurenai Ito’s first S1 transfer work. An unpretentious, free-spirited character, the nerve and acting honed on stage, and eros radiating from her whole body… Kurenai, who had been smoldering as a performer wanting to “fly higher,” chose “S1” as the stage to step up.

(Kurenai Ito S1 transfer work, official description, distributed November 2014)

The “Exclusive NO.1 STYLE” debut slot was never an entrance for rookies only. Transfers of stage performers are received through the same series format. The idea of unifying how rookies and transfers are presented at the entrance has existed for over a decade.

The recovery sequence also stays the same no matter who arrives. Niko Kawagoe is a February 2024 debut whose best compilation was assembled about a year after debut. That first best’s description opens “Niko Kawagoe, who debuted in February 2024 carrying the cryptic banner of ‘natural-born seductive sex.’” Miyu Aizawa’s first best, distributed March 2025, runs on the same interval.

One year since the real idol’s AV debut that stirred the world. Miyu Aizawa’s first best, unsealed! A compilation completely covering all S1 titles from the genuine idol’s first undressing and first penetration!

(Miyu Aizawa first best, official description, distributed March 2025)

A real idol’s move into AV follows the same sequence as a rookie’s: debut, monthly releases, a one-year-later compilation. The notable background serves as the entrance while operations run through the same format. This is the mechanism that keeps the roster from thinning.

Rui Shido is a transfer with a background as a former child actress and gravure idol. Her December 2025 release turns a gravure shoot into a first-person drama from the actress’s point of view.

Working as a gravure idol, today again I head into a weekly-magazine shoot. (omitted) If anything, I’d want that kind assistant to hold me… With that fantasy, my consciousness gradually faded…

(Rui Shido lead, official description, distributed December 2025)

A way of making that uses the background as script material rather than hiding it. A rookie’s freshness and a transfer’s résumé are used as separate entrances within the same production line. Rui Shido’s background is broken out into her own article.

The power of the entrance shows in a debut work’s review count. Kanna Seto’s debut work, distributed January 2025, has 1,779 reviews — a standout number among the works checked for this guide — with a description that pushes through figures and copy: “the strongest heroine,” “‘once in a thousand years’ was no exaggeration,” “the era of AV has reached a turning point.” Moe Sakakibara’s September 2024 debut also reads “the No. 1 beautiful girl that solo maker S1 is confidently pushing this year.” The pulling power of gathering a mass of reviews on the first title becomes the base for the subsequent monthly releases and the one-year-later compilation. Shinjin NO.1 STYLE has run this entrance on the same format for over a decade.

From 2004 to 2026: Three Phases

Telling 20 years in one breath flattens it. Split into three phases — launch, brand establishment, twentieth anniversary.

Launch: Starting by Bundling “Rookies”

November 11, 2004. The works S1 first distributed were, by catalog number, a “Rookie” series in consecutive numbering: “Rookie Mami Hayasaki,” “Rookie Natsuya Yonekura,” “Rookie × Semen Chihiro Hara.” Several rookie debut titles dropped on the same day. At launch, the design of putting rookie discovery and solo works at the axis is plainly visible. Titles carrying “barely-legal mosaic” also reflect the era. The official site footer still reads “since2004.”

The early period was not all mainstream. The Mei Iwasa work distributed August 2007 and the Rika Aiuchi work distributed July 2008 were both hardcore projects. The Iwasa work reads “thrusting in reverse cowgirl until she climaxes near to fainting”; the Aiuchi work reads “her first horse-sized cock FUCK, ascending over and over.” Within a few years of founding, the two wheels of mainstream and hardcore projects were already turning. This structure is the prototype of the later “coverage across an area” style.

And these 2007–2008 works still sit high in the rankings at 5 stars. Back-catalog 18 years past distribution still keeps accumulating reviews. Not made and then shelved — old works keep getting dug up rather than dead-stocked. Only a maker whose old shelves keep moving can hold 20 years of catalog as an asset.

Establishing the Exclusive Brand and the All-Star Turn

In 2014, the fixed debut-title format “Exclusive NO.1 STYLE [actress name] S1 debut” settles in. The description for the Hana Haruna work distributed that June reads “wild K-cup eros Hana Haruna appears in the popular series ‘Big-Cock Pounding,’” showing that by 2014 a stockpile of concept series already existed. The format of acquiring an exclusive and selling her in with a debut work hardened into a mold around this time.

The symbol of this period is Yua Mikami. A former idol-group member’s résumé drew mainstream attention and pushed S1’s name recognition beyond the industry-fan circle. Putting that marquee-class actress into the prank project “Sudden Plunge! Unprecedented Prank AV Operation,” the description for the April 2022 release reads:

Precisely because she is the multi-active superstar Yua Mikami — gravure shoots, magazine interviews, TV appearances — we want to see her “raw” self! (omitted) In the gaps of daily life, deploy the male performer, surprise insertion!

(Yua Mikami prank project, official description, distributed April 2022)

Being able to coexist marquee prestige with the play of a concept. This became the thrust that widened name recognition to the general public. The series also have long lifespans. One of the oldest versions of “Exchanged Body Fluids, Dense Sex” is the Yua Kuramochi version distributed June 2013, updated through an Ayaka Kawakita version in 2021 and a “Shin: Exchanged Body Fluids” Riri Nanatsumori version in 2022. The same banner runs for over a decade while swapping actresses. The series name itself becomes an asset.

2022 to 2023 is when all-star projects became marquee. Under the “S1 GIRLS COLLECTION” name, large compilations with around 20 exclusives per title became regulars in the top reviews. The description for the 24-actress co-starring work distributed May 2022 reads “the top-tier 24 beauties get filthily high and release sweat, juices, and squirt all at once, 48 corners, 8-hour best.” Take ratings with new works, reuse them in compilations and bests, lower the price, distribute widely. A design that doesn’t spend the shooting asset in one pass. The reason the per-title average rating doesn’t fall even as the catalog swelled to 6,800 is that this multi-stage reuse works.

November 2024, and Toward Interactive Projects

In November 2024, S1 reached its twentieth anniversary. The press release issued by distributor Digital Commerce announced the commemorative campaign like this:

“Releasing co-starring works for seven consecutive months through next June”

First: “S1 PRECIOUS GIRLS 2024 All-Star 24-Actress Mass Gathering Harem Island Special” (released December 10, 2024; pre-orders opened November 12, 2024)

(Digital Commerce press release, distributed November 2024)

The first installment is a 24-exclusive co-starring work: Ayaka Kawakita, Yu Tano, Moe Sakakibara, Kiho Kanematsu, Miyu Kiyohara, Ai Hongo, Ren Gojo, Sakika Shirakami, Airi Nagisa, Niko Kawagoe, Miru, Yuuka Murakami, Fua Kaede, Kokoro Asano, Saki Okuda, Riri Nanatsumori. Twenty-four gathered in one title. On top of that, running the commemorative project for seven straight months. The twentieth anniversary was designed not as a celebratory event but as a show of roster depth. Old works get dug up, the latest release line swells, and the commemorative show layers on top. All three phases are still in motion.

Fan Appreciation and Elections: Interactive Shows

What stands out in post-twentieth-anniversary S1 is that projects pulling fans onto the shooting side became marquee. Rather than shoot and distribute, the direction is to build fan participation and voting into the works themselves.

The Yuuka Murakami bus-tour work distributed April 2026 is the prototype. Murakami’s debut work was a bus-guide piece. In that tour-guide outfit, the project actually guides fans on a tour.

Tour guide Yuuka Murakami is back! Wearing the tour-guide outfit since her debut work, she guides you fans on a one-night, two-day stay trip! (omitted) Forty-eight hours of nonstop touching and nonstop group sex — the most chaotic, noisy, tangled rowdy bus tour in S1 fan-appreciation-festival history opens!

(Yuuka Murakami fan-appreciation bus-tour work, official description, distributed April 2026)

The phrase “in S1 fan-appreciation-festival history” in the description shows this is not a one-off but a project with series-level accumulation. The fineness of recovering a debut work’s premise as a project years later is also a drawer only a long-running maker has.

The other interactive project is the voting type. The May 2026 pre-order line includes “S1 Election 2026: 50 Picks of the ‘Most Arousing AV Project’ Chosen by User SNS Vote — With Recommendation Comments Known Only to Core Users.” Fan SNS vote results become the selection criteria for the work itself, with recommendation comments included. Only because there is a 6,800-title accumulation does the pool for a vote-based selection hold up. The thickness of the old shelf is the premise for the interactive project.

Directors as a Division of Labor

The reason the same exclusive can shoot directly opposite lanes lies not only in series but in the directors’ division of labor. Trace the names on the staff credits of top-reviewed works and the shooter splits by lane.

Aika Yumeno’s neighbor drama is TAKE-D; Niko Kawagoe’s hot-spring NTR is U-Kichi; Noa Araki’s shared-room NTR is Kyosei; Nanoha Mizuno’s and Kokoro Asano’s works are both Hiroharu Osaki. Builds that read relationship and NTR through script are handled by this line of directors. On the other hand, Moe Sakakibara’s aphrodisiac group sex and Yuuka Murakami’s aphrodisiac hardcore are both Ichigo Hara. The cheer-squad uniform piece is Trendy Yamaguchi. A shooter who takes ratings on the mainstream and a shooter who swings hard attach separately to the same exclusive.

Rather than depending on a single director’s authorship, shooters are assigned by lane. That is why pure-love drama and aphrodisiac 9P coexist without contradiction in the same actress’s catalog. And the signature does not come too far forward. What stands at the front of an S1 work is the actress and the situation; the director’s name stays back in the staff credits. Not selling on authorship but on exclusives and concepts. The headcount of exclusives and the headcount of directors — the two divisions of labor mesh, and the dozen-plus monthly pace and the range of lanes hold together.

Positioned as One of the Big Three of the AV Industry

Where S1 sits in the industry appears as official wording in the description of a joint project with other companies. The three-company joint best distributed April 2025 reads:

A super-luxury BEST teaming up the AV industry’s big three makers — “S1,” “MOODYZ,” “Idea Pocket.” We’ve assembled industry-top-class girls with overwhelming visuals and forms and volumes that dynamically evoke anime characters.

(three-company joint best, official description, distributed April 2025)

As one of “the AV industry’s big three makers,” lined up with MOODYZ and Idea Pocket. Not an external assessment but a positioning that appears in a joint project’s product description. That three companies can put together a joint best at all indicates a side-by-side scale.

The three differ by style. S1 goes for the total score with exclusive headcount, image quality, and range. MOODYZ is the breadth of concepts; Idea Pocket is the purity of the beautiful-girl line. Even among the majors the aim differs, so a joint best ends up a composition where three distinct flavors of scene enter one title. Line up PREMIUM and FALENO too and S1’s trait leans toward breadth of area over a single sharp point. For a layer that wants to dig deep into one extremely niche genre, a specialist maker can hit harder. S1’s strength lies less in depth and more in how rarely it misses.

Representative Works Reflecting S1’s Range

“Coverage across an area,” as written above. What shows it concretely is the width when you line up representative works on different lanes. From the top reviews, one work each of a different character.

The Highest-Rated Relationship Drama

Standing at the top by review count is the Aika Yumeno lead work distributed November 2025. The neighbor in the place she moves to is a beauty influencer she sees on social media — but in reality a sloppy woman living in a trash apartment. A long-form drama starting from that gap. The description is not a short hook but follows the change in the relationship scene by scene.

Having learned her true face by chance, I held some special feeling toward the gap between the image the world holds of her and the her that only I know.

(Aika Yumeno lead work, official description, distributed November 2025)

The end of the description continues, “you don’t have to change / you can stay just like this.” A relationship that began as a threat lands on acceptance. Less situational AV than a script built as a relationship drama. The same Aika Yumeno also shoots the complete opposite, a concept comedy. The April 2026 swimwear-maker piece is set in a workplace where every female employee works in swimwear, and its reviews reach 28 at a high rating. Within one actress’s catalog, the two poles of relationship drama and concept comedy coexist.

NTR That Enters Through the Everyday

NTR, too, does not just have someone stolen away but enters through an everyday setting. The January 2026 Niko Kawagoe work is set on a hot-spring trip with the older sister and her boyfriend, standing in for the mother. The description, narrated first-person from the younger sister’s point of view, reads:

A hot-spring trip with my big sister and her boyfriend in place of Mom!!! Sis’s boyfriend is exactly Niko’s type… In that case… Sis, I’m really sorry. Niko’s going to take him.

(Niko Kawagoe lead, hot-spring NTR work, official description, distributed January 2026)

Starting with body touch through clothing, continuing to touch during sightseeing and in the elevator, finally taking him. The procedure of breaking a relationship step by step is built right into the description. Not NTR on its own, but a build that reads through the everyday moves leading up to it. In the same vein is the Nanoha Mizuno-lead hot-spring infidelity work distributed February 2025, which also closes with “a one-night, two-day hot-spring trip overflowing with the desire just to keep doing it.” The stepsister piece also enters through the everyday: the Noa Araki work distributed April 2026 condenses the crossing of a relationship into one line with the dialogue “it feels this good precisely because we’re not related, right?” NTR and incest alike — the entrance is placed at the dining table or the washroom.

The Uniform Piece With the Most Reviews

The one with the most reviews in the top 30 is the Moe Sakakibara lead work distributed April 2026. A uniform piece with a childhood friend on the cheer squad. With only a short time since release, 27 reviews accrued, rating 4.96 stars. The speed of pull shows directly in the numbers. The description persistently writes where the gaze lands.

She joined the cheer squad and practices hard, but too hard — legs kicked high, a defenselessly opened crotch, a flipping miniskirt… She doesn’t realize. How much that white, soft pair of panties is scraping away my reason.

(Moe Sakakibara lead, cheer-squad work, official description, distributed April 2026)

Classroom, library, on all fours. Panty flashes are planted into each everyday gesture, pulled to the limit before anything moves. Not direct provocation but a structure that carries through the accumulation of the gaze. Beside it there is also a build that reads through a time axis. The Airi Nagisa work distributed May 2025 reads “a 1,000-day tale of finishing the development of an innocent, naive younger student into my exclusive flesh masturbator,” compressing the very process of a relationship mutating into one title.

The Slut Who Flips Purity Over

The lane that flips a pure-type gap into a slut is also S1’s specialty. The description for the Kokoro Asano work distributed February 2026 depicts a plain, quiet student over a paragraph, then flips it in one line.

But that was not her true nature. Kokoro Asano was a pervert.

(Kokoro Asano lead work, official description, distributed February 2026)

A student introduced as a gloomy type closes in on the teacher the moment the two are alone. A structure that breaks the premise of purity in one line maximizes the drop as a slut piece. Even with the same “gap,” the direction it swings is the reverse of Aika Yumeno’s relationship drama. The same mold is used on rookies too: the Natsu Natsuki Miss-Campus college-girl work distributed January 2026 reads “I meant to draw out her fetish… but Natsu, is this really your first time…?” It can swing to a gentle landing, to a slut’s rampage, or to a rookie’s talent discovery.

The Hardcore Lane at the Opposite End

At the opposite end of that range is the hardcore project. The Moe Sakakibara-lead group-sex work distributed January 2026 is shot on a lane that makes her a different person from the uniform-piece Sakakibara.

‘Moe Sakakibara’ shows her greatest orgasms ever!! Into a small, cute girl like a chick, we administered several kinds of the industry’s strongest aphrodisiac! 6P… 7P… and at the last, all the way to 9P!

(Moe Sakakibara lead, group-sex work, official description, distributed January 2026)

The same actress shot at the two poles of the mainstream uniform piece and aphrodisiac 9P. The Yuuka Murakami-lead aphrodisiac hardcore work distributed June 2025 is the same vein, its description reading “this is precisely an adult actress’s true line of work,” with 22 reviews at 4.95 stars. The hardcore-project lineage is not new. The 2007 Mei Iwasa work and the 2008 Rika Aiuchi work already read “climaxing near to fainting.” The hardcore lane of the founding era connects in one line to the aphrodisiac 9P 20 years later.

Compilations as Entrances

The make of the compilations is worth a look too. The big-breast best of Mei Washio distributed September 2023 is a 12-hour special.

Mei Washio’s J-cup breasts — perfect in firmness, shape, size, and texture — fondled, sucked, squeezed, jiggled, and fully savored, a best! Gaze up close at the industry’s top-class divine breasts, knead them, suckle like an infant, taste the filthy flesh to your heart’s content!

(Mei Washio compilation, official description, distributed September 2023)

It bundles representative scenes into a span of 62 corners and 12 hours, with the price set at streaming in the 300-yen range. The same thinking as Niko Kawagoe’s first best, which read “you can still become a longtime fan from here — review with this first-best work and you’ll still make it in time!” A compilation is not a mere assemblage but is designed in price and length as an entrance for new fans. That the compilations under the “S1 GIRLS COLLECTION” name stay resident in the top reviews is proof this design works.

Transfers Ride the Same Line Too

Gravure-origin transfers ride the same production line as well. Rui Shido’s May 2026 release drops the gravure-idol premise straight into the frame of a titjob work. An actress with a former-child-actor, gravure résumé is built into the existing format the same as a rookie. The entertainment-world buzz serves as the entrance while the work itself is shot in S1’s mold. Rookie, veteran, transfer — the same line can run them all.

Image Quality as a Long-Term Investment

When you talk about S1, image quality always comes up. The reason shows in the numbers. Of the top 30 by review, 21 carry the “4K” tag. Excluding compilations and back-catalog, recent new releases are almost all shot in 4K. Separate from the HD version, a 4K version is offered at the higher price band, and the latest titles’ 4K version is 3,380 yen. Watch the same work cheaply in HD, or take the higher grade in 4K. Image quality is built into product design as a choice.

VR also has a dedicated line. The official site’s recommended series lists “S1 VR,” and as a work-series name it is branded “VR NO.1 STYLE.” The history is not shallow. The Miru Sakamichi VR work distributed November 2020 has 127 reviews, showing VR already had a base of ratings as of 2020. The operation of running exclusives straight into VR is also turning. The description for Rui Shido’s first VR work distributed February 2026 reads “S1 exclusive Rui Shido, emitting overwhelming presence, first VR work” and “want to get lewd with Rui Shido in the world of VR?” The gravure-origin résumé is reused as a tutor premise even in VR. Makers that can pour their exclusive headcount straight into a dedicated VR line are few even in the industry.

Investment in image quality takes time to pay off. Standardizing 4K and maintaining a dedicated VR line both raise the shooting equipment and editing labor by that much. It is not recovered immediately. That a maker lasting 20 years can keep choosing this kind of investment is precisely because the 6,800-title catalog underwrites the funds. The capital gained from digging up old works and the secondary use of compilations is turned back into the latest titles’ image quality. The old shelf supports the new shelf’s image quality — it has become a cycle.

Where to Start

6,800 titles is too many. The series the official site puts on its marquee become the map of entrances directly.

Mainstream pure-love / drama line. Hot-spring trips, shared rooms, the gap with a neighbor. Aika Yumeno’s neighbor drama and Nanoha Mizuno’s hot-spring infidelity work are this line; if you are seeing S1 for the first time, entering here is hard to miss with. Because it is a build that reads through script, satisfaction stays stable as long as the situation suits your taste.

NTR / drama line. Like Niko Kawagoe’s hot-spring NTR and Noa Araki’s stepsister piece, builds that assemble from an everyday setting even in cuckold or incest are common. Not NTR on its own; the rating is high among genre fans who enjoy the everyday moves leading up to it.

Older-woman / deflowering line. Like Miru’s tutor work and Alice Hana’s private-lesson work, a mainstream template where an older woman teaches step by step. Because the standard stays stable even when the actress is swapped, you can pick by your preferred exclusive and it’s hard to miss.

Exclusive debut works. The “Shinjin NO.1 STYLE” series is the entrance. In 2026, Rion Sono and Towa Shiraishi are scheduled to debut through this slot. Debut works from gravure and entertainment-world transfers also mix in. If you follow rookie pieces, watching here as a fixed point is the fastest.

Hardcore / concept line. Concept series like “Sudden Plunge! Unprecedented Prank AV Operation” and “Exchanged Body Fluids, Dense Sex” line the marquee. Moe Sakakibara’s aphrodisiac 9P and Yuuka Murakami’s aphrodisiac hardcore work are this line. The escape hatch for a layer unsatisfied by the mainstream is properly provided within the same maker.

Fan-appreciation / interactive line. The “S1 Fan Appreciation Festival” series and “S1 Election.” Fan-participation projects like Yuuka Murakami’s bus-tour work, and selected bests assembled by user vote. The more core the fan, the more this slot lands.

All-star / compilation. Large projects under the “S1 GIRLS COLLECTION” name and per-actress 12-hour bests. If you haven’t decided who to watch, there is a route of finding your preferred one out of a 20-actress compilation. The price is cheap as an entry product too. The full picture is broken out in the S1 GIRLS COLLECTION explainer.

VR. “S1 VR” is the dedicated line. If you have a VR headset, it is one of the few majors where you can experience the exclusive headcount straight in VR. It becomes where an exclusive’s fan heads next after 2D works.

If you’re at the stage of being unsure about the maker, you can also compare by the difference in character with MOODYZ, Idea Pocket, PREMIUM, and FALENO, which line up side by side in joint bests. S1 is oriented toward picking by how rarely it misses rather than by a single sharp point.

Who This Suits

  • People who don’t want to compromise on image quality: 70% of the top-reviewed works carry the 4K tag. The latest titles have the 4K version explicitly priced as a 3,380-yen grade, so you can choose after checking the difference from HD
  • People who want to follow the actresses of the moment every month: Roughly 37 across just two months of release lines. From rookie debuts to transfers, new works run in parallel every month, with more updates than you can keep up with
  • People who want to run mainstream and hardcore within one maker: Pure-love drama, NTR, older-woman deflowering, gap-slut, aphrodisiac 9P, big-breast compilations all come off the same production line. No need to search around other companies to switch lanes
  • People who don’t want to draw a dud: With a setup that brings cinematographers, editors, and makeup in-house by role, the standard rarely cracks even putting out a dozen-plus a month. For old works and compilations, the entry price drops to streaming in the 300-yen range

A Maker Whose Updating Hasn’t Stopped Even Past Twenty Years

Exclusive headcount, long-term investment in image quality, breadth of area from mainstream to hardcore. That all three are in place at once is where S1 stands now.

A maker that began in 2004 by bundling five “Rookie” titles reached its twentieth anniversary in 2024 and ran its commemorative project through seven straight months. The following year it added an interactive project that turns user SNS votes into a work. Reviews still accrue on 2007 back-catalog, and 37 people, rookie debuts included, line up on the June 2026 release line. In a joint-best description, the name appears as one of “the AV industry’s big three makers.” Makers where both the old shelf and the new shelf move at once are limited even in the industry.

What the next phase will be has not yet become official wording. The weight on VR, or a further expansion of interactive projects? What is certain is the single point that the accumulation of 6,800 titles has become the capital to choose that next investment. The latest work of an exclusive you’re curious about, or a 12-hour compilation. Whichever shelf you enter from, as an entrance to 20 years of catalog it is hard to miss.
