Career
In October 2024, when she appeared in a gravure spread for Weekly Post, she said this:
I’d been thinking I wanted to try something new, and my friends and the people around me had been encouraging me to for a while, so I decided to take the plunge and give it a try.

She’d used the words “take the plunge.” Three months later, she made her AV debut.
As her first year was drawing to a close, she named the thing she’d wanted.
Seto: Also, I heard there used to be an award show called the “FANZA Adult Award,” and it’s a shame they stopped running it. Since I was making my debut, I really wanted to win something like a rookie-of-the-year award in my first year, you know (pouts).

She’d wanted to win one. That award had ceased to exist before she ever debuted. The unit she wanted to be counted in isn’t handed out anymore.
Her output, meanwhile, hasn’t stopped. Counting solo releases alone: fourteen in 2025, thirteen so far in 2026. Only February 2025 is a gap; every other month has had at least one release.
In September 2025, her first VR title came out. She heard about the scale of expectations riding on it secondhand.
Seto: Also, I happened to overhear something — apparently the VR filming equipment S1 owns is this incredible thing, one of only a handful of units in all of Japan, and it’s supposed to cost something like tens of millions of yen. The production staff were saying things like “we have to earn back what this equipment cost…”, so I found myself wondering just how much of my VR title we’d have to sell (laughs).

She learned how much her own title cost, at secondhand. On whether it would actually sell, she held a different view from everyone else’s expectations.
Seto: FANZA has put a lot of expectation into this VR title, but honestly, I’m anxious about whether it’ll really sell that well (troubled look).

The expectations were stacked up in numbers; she herself doubted whether it would sell.
The people behind the camera change every time. Sixteen directors are credited by name across her titles. One has directed her three times, six have directed her twice, and the rest just once each. Even as an exclusive actress putting out one title a month, the people making them are never fixed.
In August 2025, she appeared at an event in Taiwan.
Seto: In August, I got to appear at TRE (Taipei Red Expo) in Taiwan. There were around 80 other actresses there besides me, and it was apparently the biggest the event has ever been.

The gym. Voice training. Costumes. All three lead straight back to the next job. Those are the three things that come up when she’s asked about her day off.
Her work outside of titles runs at the same density. A digital photobook came out in October 2024, her first print photobook followed in January 2025, and April 2026 brought a digital photobook, a photobook co-authored with a co-star, and an image Blu-ray all at once, with a second print photobook due in November. In magazines, 2026 alone has put her in Weekly FLASH, Weekly Asahi Geinou, a special issue of Weekly Jitsuwa, and Weekly Taishu. In-store release events are held for every title — September 2026 in Osaka, October at a swimsuit festival tied to the magazine Kindai Mahjong and in Sendai, where an imoni (potato hot pot) meetup has been organized under a title that carries her nickname.
Counted as One of Twenty-Eight
Of a cumulative 96 titles, 67 share a single character at the head of their product code. It’s the slot S1 reserves for its omnibus releases — a format built to pack several actresses into one release and stretch the runtime long.
The number of actresses appearing in this slot runs to around 28 per release. The busiest one holds 56. The runtime is long. What lands in the title is the attribute, not the woman — something like Japan’s Most Beautiful Fair-Skinned Breasts and 60 Sex Scenes.
Every solo release, by contrast, carries her name — Kanna Seto — in the title, without exception.
Her acting credits, in other words, fall into two layers. The layer called by name comes to 29 titles, counting two not yet released. The layer counted as one of a crowd comes to 67.
In July 2026, a release appeared where both layers overlap. Its product code is an omnibus code, yet its title reads Strongest Heroine: Kanna Seto Best Collection, and the runtime runs 722 minutes. Occupation and Age, Side by Side
When she stepped onto set, she didn’t know her co-star’s face. She’d never watched a single AV in her life.
Seto My own image of it was pretty biased — I figured they’d all be pudgy, kind of creepy old guys (laughs).

The phrase “unfiltered self” comes up again two months later. What the third title’s description says is: because the cameras never stop rolling, what’s captured is her unfiltered self. She, for her part, had said she’d packed it in. With the same word, the one who packed it in and the one who took it out change places.
The film itself follows the two nights, three days. At the opening, the words natural, unscripted date appear on a black screen. There’s a shot of her in a blue shirt with the city behind her, and one of her in the same clothes at the table, chopsticks in hand, eyes closed. The reason she picked it wasn’t the content or the sales — it was the number of days. Two days becoming one day is what made it fun.
Faster is more fun. She’s also the one who used the phrase “sporty type” first. It’s the same kind of language as what’s written in the skills section of her agency’s official page — she used it to describe her own enjoyment.

Turning 200,000 Back into the Number of People She Passed Today
In the one-year-anniversary feature, there’s a light-blue pool float out at an outdoor pool, and one of her legs is raised. The on-screen text, though, turns into requests from the viewer’s side. Want to see her tits? Want a blowjob? Anyone want to have sex~? The same tone of caption runs over the shot of men lined up at the pool, and over the bath scene too. Her nickname changes here as well: Seto-kan.
In an interview that same year, she’s told that the favorites count on her debut work has passed two hundred thousand.
Seto: Amazing! 200,000 people pressed the favorite button! But who are they, and where are they from? I wonder if some of them are among the people I passed by today.

Even in person, what she counts is faces.
Seto: I’m bad at remembering names, but I do remember the faces of the fans who’ve been coming since the very first event. Lately more and more new fans keep showing up, and back then one person could loop through the signing line multiple times, but now there’s a cap on numbers and looping isn’t possible anymore. Only the Work Without the Crown Is Written as “I”
Of the twenty-seven titles released so far, seven don’t carry Strongest Heroine anywhere in the title. They break down into three kinds. Four of them — 『ALL NUDE』『裸神』(Naked God)『♀』『MONSTER』 — are titles that are a single word or a symbol, with no crown and no explanation, just her name standing alone. All four are image videos, not hardcore releases. In a slot that sells nothing but the undressed body, a name doesn’t need a title. Two more, a school-themed one and a business-trip one, are titles where she stops being the grammatical subject of the sentence. The last is VR — a VR where you get to be Seto Kanna’s boyfriend — and here her name shifts over to the possessive.
Around that same time, she was turning down a grand word aimed at herself.

Written as a character’s line, this “I” is — but of the twenty-seven works, this is the only one where she speaks as “I.” The work whose crown came off and the work whose pronoun changed turned out to be the same work.
